Course Overview: During this California Department of Insurance-certified one-day training, participants will delve into essential topics including surveillance fundamentals, static and rolling surveillance techniques, communication device usage, small team dynamics, contingency planning, and pre-planned operations. Through immersive scenario-based training, attendees will actively engage in planning, executing, and documenting surveillance operations, ensuring hands-on proficiency in real-world scenarios.
Required Equipment:
Unmarked or personal vehicle with the current registration and active insurance.
Cell phone with internet access, compatible with IOS or Android APP Store (Free app download required).
Radios (if available)
Binoculars
Camera (cell phone camera is sufficient).
Student Requirements (No Excemptions): Students attending the class must provide the following documents. Failure to do so will result in immediate dismissal without a refund.
Completed student registration and liability forms.
Valid driver’s license (Must be presented on the training day).
Active Bail License issued by the California Department of Insurance, Fugitive Recovery License, Private Investigator License, Other State Bail Bonds License (Must be presented on the training day).
Pre-training background check for civilian students: Students cannot have felony convictions or be under active supervision as per CDI Bail License Requirements (Use the provided link for the background check and present it on the training day).
Additional Information: Students are advised to dress in casual attire without bright colors or attention-drawing clothing. Good physical health is recommended as the course involves physical movement and may induce elevated stress levels.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive 4 hours of continuing education credit and a certificate of 8 hours of attendance.
